ABCover stands for Absence Budget Coverage. We provide specialized insurance to school districts, covering substitute and overtime costs associated with staff absences.
Our risk-transfer solution stabilizes budgets and addresses the $4 billion substitute staffing crisis in America.
ABCover was founded to introduce a proven staff absence insurance model to the U.S. education sector—one that has successfully supported over 10,000 schools in the UK for more than 27 years. By bringing this innovative approach to U.S. school districts, our mission is to enhance financial stability and provide essential support for educators.
OUR VISION
“Make a meaningful difference in American education”.
School Districts continue to grapple with growing pressures that threaten their stability. Budget volatility, related to staff absences, makes planning difficult while the rising cost of substitutes strains resources. These challenges disrupt classrooms, stretch educators thin, negatively impacting student success. Districts that exceed their absentee budget even ONE year can take up to THREE years to recover.
We blend insurance and technology ("Insurtech") and leverage the data from your existing Absence Management and payroll systems. This allows us to automate the administration of your policy and claims processing with no additional workload from your staff.
ABCover provides customized insurance to cover staff absences, protect budgets, and secure peace of mind for administrators of schools and districts of all sizes.
With decades of combined experience in education, insurance, and financial risk management, our leadership team understands the unique challenges facing school districts. Our expertise allows us to design tailored staff absence solutions that not only protect school budgets but also support staff recruitment and retention.
The ABCover team is uniquely equipped to help districts strengthen their financial foundation, reduce administrative burdens, and create positive outcomes for both educators and students.
